Youth Athletic Health & Wellness Alliance

MISSION:

The Youth Athletic Health & Wellness Alliance (YAH-WA) is dedicated to supporting youth athletes through mental health education, skill-based training, and community partnerships.

The Youth Care Network, powered by YAH-WA (Youth Athletic Health & Wellness Alliance), is a centralized hub where youth athletes, families, and community members can access trusted resources, programs, and support services through a strong network of community partners.

This network was created to ensure that youth across the DMV—regardless of sport or background—have access to the tools and support needed to thrive both on and off the field.

Through YAH-WA, individuals can connect with organizations and professionals offering:

  • Emotional wellness support, in education, and skill-building

  • Athletic development and performance training, designed to enhance confidence, discipline, and competitive growth

  • Life skills and leadership development, including mentorship, financial literacy, career resiliency, accountability, and character building

  • Academic and community-based support services, offering tutoring services, volunteer services, helping youth build a strong foundation for long-term success

In addition, YAH-WA provides online workshops, trainings, and community events through a wide range of partnerships—creating ongoing opportunities for education, engagement, and development for both athletes and those who support them.

The Youth Care Network serves as a bridge between mental health, athletes and the community, bringing together partners who are committed to holistic youth development and long-term impact.

Together, we are building a connected ecosystem that supports stronger minds, stronger athletes, and stronger communities.
