Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) is an evidence-based training designed to teach adults how to recognize, understand, and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges in young people.

This interactive course equips parents, coaches, educators, mentors, youth leaders, and community professionals with practical skills to identify warning signs, confidently start supportive conversations, and connect youth with appropriate resources and professional help.

Participants will learn how to apply the Mental Health First Aid Action Plan (ALGEE) in both crisis and non-crisis situations while increasing their understanding of trauma, resilience, adolescent development, and self-care.

Course Format: Blended Virtual
Training: 2 hours of self-paced coursework + 4.5 hours of instructor-led training
Investment: $150 per participant, including course materials
Certification: Participants who successfully complete all course requirements receive Youth Mental Health First Aid certification.
